About Me

I was born in Ankara in 1976. I graduated from TED Ankara College Elementary School in 1987. I completed my middle and high school education at Ankara Atatürk Anatolian High School in 1994. In 2001, I graduated from Ankara University Faculty of Medicine. I completed my residency training in the Department of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine in 2006. Between 2006 and 2007, I worked as a clinical fellow in the same department at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine. From 2008 to 2009, I fulfilled my mandatory service at Bolu Izzet Baysal State Hospital. Between 2010 and 2012, I worked as a specialist in the Department of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine. In 2011, I participated in clinical and surgical studies on "Endoscope-assisted Thyroidectomy" at Universita Catolica del Sacro Coure in Italy. From 2012 to 2013, I served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine. In 2013, I received certification in "Robotic Surgery" at the University of Marburg in Germany. I was awarded the title of associate professor in the same year. In 2015, I observed "Robotic Surgery" at Stanford University in the United States. In 2017, I became a "Robotic Surgery Console Surgeon" in Strasbourg. In 2019, I was appointed as a Professor at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine in the Department of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery. Since 2022, I have been providing medical services in my own clinic. I served as vice president and instructor at Turkish Society of Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery Schools for two years. I am married and a mother of two young girls. My primary interests include head and neck cancers and surgery, salivary gland diseases and surgery, parotidectomy, thyroid diseases surgery, and endoscopic thyroidectomy. Professor Doctor Nilda Süslü has authored over 90 book chapters and articles published in national and international journals. She has participated as a panel speaker at numerous national and international scientific meetings, delivered lectures and courses on various topics, and presented scientific papers.
