MINIMALLY INVASIVE THYROIDECTOMY
With the developing technology and knowledge in the field of medicine in recent years, we aim to create the least possible scar in thyroid surgeries. Compared to the skin incisions made in the past, the size of the skin incisions made with these new techniques, that is, the size of the surgical scars, has decreased significantly. These new generation thyroid (guvatr) surgeries, which we perform under the guidance of endoscopy (thin camera systems), can be applied for thyroid nodules or thyroid cancers. Minimally invasive surgery can be performed even if the disease is cancer or nodules. Meticulous patient selection is our priority. Considering many criteria such as tumour size, anatomical conformity of the thyroid gland, size of the nodule or cancer, and spread locations, 2 cm surgical scars can be created in suitable patients.
