How Does Parotidectomy Surgery Leave a Scar?

What is the scar after parotidectomy surgery?
The scar formed during parotidectomy surgery is a scar extending from the front of the ear to the neck. This scar, which is approximately 6-8 cm long, can be closed with subcutaneous sutures known as aesthetic sutures when possible. In recent years, I have started to use surgical incision techniques aiming zero scar in facelift techniques in parotidectomy surgery. The results are quite satisfactory. With this technique, there is no scar in the facial area and I receive positive feedback from the patients.
